I had always said (even before I was prego) that when I was, that I wouldnt be bothered by people who wanted to to, let's say, have a more "hands on experience" with my pregnancy. Granted, there are a few people that I might be a lil weirded out by wanting to do the Buda-rub on my bump, but these are people that are not very close to me and for that reason have yet to ask to do so.
So overall I'm pretty open to people wanting to touch my belly. Heck, I was in Costco the other day and saw another preggie chick and (although I did not act on my impulse) I found my self wanting to put a hand on her - so I get it.
M and I went down to visit our fam in Canby last night and took a different rout then usual. On our way we drove past "Sadie's Ladies" and although it's not a strip joint, it might as well be, as it is the only place I can think of that will have a bikini-clad chick serve you a mocha mid February. So as we drive by I jokingly ask M if he though that I could make more $ if I quit my current job and took up "waitressing", growing stomach and all.
Needless to say we had a hilarious conversation about weird people and their insane fedishes and came to the conclusion that I would make quite a bit more green, but that neither of us were ok with pimping out our unborn child to do so ;)
moving on - I have had even more people on my belly as of late and this being for the fact that (even though I am very grateful and love the other presents I got for my b-day) my best birthday gift was from my baby.
A few days before my birthday it made it's presents known even more. it kicked me.
it went from "flutters" on day, to full on drop-kicks (to my bladder mostly) the next. So much so, that I'm a bit weary of my child having an aggressive tendencies in-utero. (sp haha?)
BUT - the best part of all is that the day it started, that night, I was able to call M from across the house and for the first time he got to feel his baby. that was the best present.
So I'm sure of the fact that I'll have been touched by a nation of people by the time this is all done (like when my belly-button does pop out. Hey, I'll be interested in that one just as much as the next guy) but I think It's just something that comes with the territory.
-and as long as I dont find out that any of you have crazy pregnant women fedishes - it'll all be alright...
